I love the little pocket sized M43’s. But they are hell to adjust manually on the fly and the AF is an issue in low light. I’d like to be able to pack one in my pocket when I needed a compact cam that I can adjust easily. Actually, I don’t care who would make one as long as it fit the ‘Leica-like’ profile and ergonomics.
- A True Shutter Speed Dial – No Program Dial
- Lens Marked with Footage Scale for Easy Manual Adjustment
- Marked and manually adjustable aperture ring
- No bullshit touchscreen, no dummied down lenses, no extra garbage…go old school basic.
Maybe some young guns like Konost will take up the charge and get back to basics with a new design for an M43. They should model it after the old Olympus Pen half-frame film cams.
They got the size down with the baby Olympus M43’s and the IQ is outstanding. Other than footprint and IQ, they are too complex to adjust for split second street work and for shooting in bad light where the AF wont focus.
